OneDrive
Microsoft OneDrive is a cloud storage service that allows users to store, access, and share files across multiple devices. Its main purposes include:
Do not store PI information one one drive, if need use teams or share point and it PI is there it need to be noted that it is there.
• File sharing: For file sharing at Chaffey use teams or SharePoint, there is not one drive.
• Collaboration: Use Teams or SharePoint.
• Backup: OneDrive allows users to back up their entire file system.
• Synchronization: OneDrive automatically syncs files when a user goes online, so they don't lose data.
• Integration: OneDrive integrates with other Microsoft products, including Microsoft Office 365 and the Microsoft Office mobile app.
• Security: OneDrive has security measures in place to help protect documents.
• Storage: OneDrive offers a free account with 5 GB of storage, and paid plans are available for more storage.
At Chaffey one dive is for your files, team/share point is for department files, collaboration, file sharing.
Here are some other things you can do with OneDrive:
- View sync progress: Click the OneDrive icon in your system tray.
- Manage sync settings: Click More in the system tray.
- Unlock Personal Vault: Click the OneDrive System Tray icon, select the Gear icon, and then choose Unlock Personal Vault.
- Opt out of error reports and usage statistics: Right-click the OneDrive cloud icon in the notification area, select Settings, and then under Privacy, clear the option.
- Choose folders to sync: Right-click the white or blue cloud icon in your notification area, and select Settings, then Choose Folders.
