Colleague UI (formerly Datatel) is Chaffey's main user interface that works with the Ellucian Colleague (an ERP system) and institutional operations.
Application Overview
Colleague UI is an internal platform that manages student records, admissions, registration, financial aid, human resources, finance, and curriculum management.
It streamlines workflows and supports institutional planning and compliance, along with academic information, employee records, and secure access for authorized users.
**Note: Please ensure that you have set up your Staff Portal Account before accessing Datatel, as your password for your Staff Portal will be used.
For first time users, you must ensure you have access to to your Chaffey staff portal, and that the Colleague request form has been submitted.
If you do not have a Staff network email set up, or are not sure if a Colleague request form has been submitted, please contact your supervisor, or the IT Help Desk for further assistance.
Usages and Features
Faculty and staff can use Colleague UI to update academic information, manage transcripts, schedule courses, and assign faculty.
HR and payroll can maintain employee records and process compensation.
Financial aid staff can track eligibility, disbursements, and compliance through the system to ensure accuracy, consistency, and secure access for authorized users.
