The Loaner Equipment program allows Chaffey College employees to borrow various technology tools and devices for work-related tasks.

Application Overview

The Chaffey College Loaner Equipment program (and online application) for employees allows faculty and staff to borrow technology assets for work-related duties.

There are various types of equipment available through the ITS / Digital Equity & Innovation Hub, including iPads with tripods and microphones, event cameras, camcorders, USB webcams, MiFi hotspots, etc.

The equipment is managed via an online equipment catalog system; employees can reserve/checkout items for a limited period (often up to two weeks), depending on the type of device. The check-out is handled through defined policies around reservations, check‑in/out windows, responsibility for the equipment, and coordination with the ITS / Help Desk or the DEI Hub. 

Usages and Features

The program supports multimedia projects, remote work, classroom enhancement, presentations and other institutional needs, making it easier for staff to access the tools they need without purchasing them individually.
