You can use 7zip on any computer, including a computer in a commercial organization. You don't need to register or pay for 7zip.

Chaffey College provides easy access to 7zip software, a free program that lets you compress files to save space or group them together into a single file.
You can use 7zip to create a cabinet of similar files that assists with organization and file storage. The 7zip archiving tool can also be set to group files in one specific archive and protect them by encryption or password. This is very much useful and helpful, especially when sending sensitive data through a network.
